Every Temple Marriage is a Royal Wedding5
There's certainly been a lot of buzz over these past few weeks leading up to the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, better known as William and Kate. I've only watched a bit of the coverage but I will confess that I, too, find myself a little intrigued by the glamour and romance surrounding this hopeful fairytale.
I remember sitting in my family room, when my children were quite young, watching the royal wedding of the parents of Prince William, experiencing similar feelings. Now that was definitely over the top, to say the least! I still have the image of Princess Diana's out of control wedding dress and that ridiculous train fixed in my mind.

Kate's wedding dress was much more understated. In my opinion she looked exquisite! Her modesty in both dress and demeanor were truly regal. I'll even go so far as to say that even her modest figure struck me the same. As I observed her in each of these different ways, I could better understand why this impeccable display of refinement, romance and glamour are so appealing to women of all ages.

I must say I had no critisism. Only reason being it we shouldnt judge. I have been a follower of the royals for many years, they are good people and go through challenges in different ways to others. I have been a member of our church all my life and seen the judgements taken upon these people, from there hair do's, who they hang out with, to them going night clubbing, who they date etc, so what?? Lady diana is dead. RIP and you want to judge her dress? my gosh....get a life....

note to nzsinglelds---i do not think Kathryn was judging Princess Catherine inappropriately when she stated she looked exquisite at her wedding and her dress was modest as also her demeanor was regal nor do i think you were not judging inappropriately when you stated you hoped the Prince's and Princess' wedding might last an eternity. also, i personally do not think it is inappropriate or in poor judgment for me to state unequivocally that most of us wish the best for this royal couple and hope their marriage lasts at least a lifetime.

I too remember Diana's gown. It was very much the style of the early eighties. We at the time thought it was beautiful and I still do. Most brides gowns are beautiful. We can't have much to do if we nit-pick another bride's wedding gown!! Kate's gown is a gown of the present and has it's own beauty. Kate, like the late Diana, has an inner beauty. I believe that is what William based his love for Kate on, her inner beauty. Their's is a two sided love and I believe it will last all their lives. We may have our own royal marriages, however, they only remain in force if we remain worthy. Remaining worthy is the all important factor, not just keeping the Covernents we made in the Temple but other factors as well. These include but not limited to, not being puffed in ourselves, boastful, nit-picking (falt finding). We need to be kind, loving, accepting, charitable. May we all be chatitable and let Diana rest in peace.

I personally would have liked to have a wedding like this one. I am glad I got married in the temple because of what it symbolizes, but the ceremony itself was quite boring. It was over in a few minutes. I had only some of my family with me in some small room and didn't have any of the rituals I grew up seeing. (No walking down the aisle, vows, etc.) I wish I could have had a traditional marriage, while still being able to be married for eternity.
