The much-anticipated groundbreaking of the Brigham City Utah Temple is set for Saturday, July 31, at 9 a.m. The announcement by the First Presidency follows a letter to local priesthood leaders and a presentation to the Brigham City planning commission.

The temple will be prominently located in downtown Brigham City, Utah, across the street from the famed Brigham City Tabernacle along the sycamore-lined Main Street at approximately 250 South.

The public is invited to attend the groundbreaking. Proceedings will be broadcast to meetinghouses located throughout the temple district, which borders the Logan Utah Temple to the north, and the Ogden Utah Temple to the south.
