Washington Redskins quarterback John Beck got his opportunity to start a game this past Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

Beck, a 30-year-old former BYU star, was the subject of a feature article Thursday in The Washington Post. Mormon Life says: We often look at the men, but this is a sit-down with their wives.

They are married to men who play a physically brutal game, always one fluke, misstep or jarring hit away from a career-ending injury.

Their husbands have constant demands on their time, from practice to meetings to autograph seekers to charity appearances.
