Donny and Marie Osmond recently stopped by the Joy Behar show where they chatted about everything from Marie's marriage to their opinions on Broadway's "The Book of Mormon."

When asked why her first marriage to then ex- and now present husband Steve didn't work out, Marie said, "I think we were young, and you get a lot of pressure and opinions. ... [Now] we just both matured and grew up."

Donny is happy for them and believes that this time, it will last. "It is a Cinderella story, with bumps in the road, with a beautiful happy ending."

Behar also talked about the "Mormon" Sister Wives, which Donny and Marie were quick to correct are not Mormon. Although, the idea of having multiple spouses to "do the laundry" wouldn't be so bad, Marie joked.

And concerning the irreverent "Book of Mormon" musical, neither Donny nor Marie have seen it, and don't plan to.

Watch the video on Broadway World's website here.

Earlier in their careers, if you had asked Donny and Marie Osmond where they thought they would be in 40 years, they never would have guessed it would be on the stage at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas preparing for their duo act.

That was the question that fueled Piers Morgan, a weekday CNN talk show host, to sit down with the singing siblings Monday evening on the Flamingo stage to ask about their experiences in and outside the entertainment business.

“(When) you think about a career, especially being a woman, in the entertainment business, you’re lucky to get seven or eight years,” Marie said in the exclusive Piers Morgan Tonight interview. “We’re going on 48 years now. We’re both so grateful.”

Jake Heaps found a little added challenge at Tuesday's football practice.

Donny Osmond showed up and told Heaps to throw harder.

The young BYU quarterback has invested a lot of TV time watching Donny and Marie Osmond compete on "Dancing with the Stars" in recent years. Donny heard about that and decided to attend BYU football practice and thank Heaps in person.

The former teen idol spent a little time with Heaps before practice on Tuesday and watched some of the drills before leaving for a flight to Las Vegas, where he'll resume performing with his sister Marie at the Flamingo Hotel.

Tossing the ball back and forth, Osmond teased Heaps, "Come on, let's see what you've got. Quit throwing it like Betty White."

Donny and Marie Osmond stood at the top of wholesome, family-oriented entertainment 35 years ago, back when they were teenagers and Times Square was full of X-rated movie houses and adult book stores.

The duo from Utah’s famous first family of singers were chided for their uncompromising approach to old-style entertainment during the 1980s. That was the era when Times Square began its gradual transformation into a center of pulsing lights, shops and attractions that makes visitors feel as if they are inside a video game.

True fans might say the timing couldn’t be better for a Donny and Marie show on Broadway. Ticketholders to Dec. 9’s opening show sounded more interested in extending old memories into the future than making side-by-side comparisons.
